Epilepsy is a group of neurological disorders characterized by epileptic seizures. Epileptic seizures are episodes that can vary from brief and nearly undetectable periods to long periods of vigorous shaking. These episodes can result in physical injuries, including occasionally broken bones. In epilepsy, seizures tend to recur and as a rule, have no immediate underlying cause. Isolated seizures that are provoked by a specific cause such as poisoning are not deemed to represent epilepsy. Epileptic seizures are the result of excessive and abnormal neuronal activity in the cortex of the brain.
Seizures are a symptom of epilepsy, wherein an abnormal movements or behavior happens due to an unusual electrical activity in the brain. But not all people who appear to have seizures have epilepsy. Non-epileptic seizures (called pseudo seizures) are not accompanied by abnormal electrical activity in the brain and it may be caused by psychological issues or stress.
When seizures occur right around a stroke, head injury, toxic ingestion or metabolic problem, they are known as acute symptomatic seizures and not epilepsy. Seizure threshold is lowered in epilepsy. Focal seizures begin in one hemisphere of the brain while generalized seizures begin in both hemispheres. These types of seizure may be treated with psychotherapy and psychiatric medications.
Chakra therapy is based on the belief that your brain is the main operating system in the human body, which processes sensory information, regulates blood pressure, breathing and releases hormones. However due to our over analytical, non-liberal, rigid mind sets and definitions we refuse to accept and value the reality, for what it actually is. We constantly live in a state of delusion, completely alienated from people, society and the world. Such a condition manifests into this physical ailment.
